Bodegas LAN was founded in 1972 and belongs now to the most dynamic, modern and successful bodegas of the entire Rioja. The name itself is an acronym based on the initials of each of the three provinces that form the D.O.Ca. Rioja: Logroño (currently part of La Rioja), Alava and Navarra. Wine making at Bodegas LAN follows a principle: extreme respect for our grapes, preserving the vineyard’s distinctive features in each of the stages of fermentation and ageing, both in the barrel and in the bottle.

Because LAN is paying more than average, they can always insure the best quality grapes. They select very strictly on the quality of the grapes, but who can produce and deliver good fruit, can take the benefits from it. LAN will continue to invest in securing the image they achieved so far. For several years they receive most medals and good reviews in the leading Spanish wine press.
