Gould Campbell is one of the most respected and oldest Port Houses of the world. Their high quality wines made them famous. Gould Campbell was founded in 1797 by Garret Gould.
After the war in which the English Portugese army, of the Duke of Wellington, defeated the French army, Gould entered into a collaboration with the prestigious bankers James Campbell & Co. Since 1970 Gould Campbell is owned by the Symington Family. The grapes of Gould Campbell grow in the vineyards of the Alto Douro area. The yield per vine is very low, which gives the wine a high concentration, a lot of complexity and depth. Most Port wines are produced traditionally and have a good reputation.
