Bodegas Monfil
Bodegas Monfil belongs to Mateo's family, with a long tradition in wines to three generations. It was founded in 1943 by Victor Mateo, whose never gave up on elaboration and developing wines. About ten years ago, the family decided to bottle their own wine.
The brandname of Monfil's wines is due to the surname of their great-grandmother Carmen Monfil. Her family was the owner of large vineyards in Cariñena. Nowadays, the family has his own vineyards, with varieties in Garnacha, Tempranillo, Cariñena Syrah and Macabeo grapes.
