Wente Vineyards, America’s oldest family-owned winery, has achieved an extraordinary milestone: two of their wines have earned spots in the prestigious Top 100 lists of Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast 2024. This rare honor highlights the exceptional quality and passion that Wente Vineyards has been delivering for 141 years.
The 2022 Morning Fog Chardonnay secured the 40th position on Wine Spectator's highly coveted list. Shortly after, it was announced that the 2021 Charles Wetmore Cabernet Sauvignon ranked 52nd in Wine Enthusiast's annual The Enthusiast 100: The Best Wines of 2024.
Both lists are the gold standard in the wine world, compiled by experts who taste and evaluate thousands of wines. Wente Vineyards’ inclusion on both lists in the same year reflects their dedication to quality, innovation, and sustainability.
Aly Wente, Senior Vice President and fifth-generation winemaker, proudly commented:
“It is an incredible honor to have our wines recognized on these prestigious lists. Our Morning Fog Chardonnay and Charles Wetmore Cabernet Sauvignon reflect the hard work and dedication of our team in the vineyards and winery. Recognition like this inspires us to continue striving for excellence.”
The 2022 Morning Fog Chardonnay is loved for its vibrant citrus and green apple flavors, with subtle hints of toasted oak and vanilla. The 2021 Charles Wetmore Cabernet Sauvignon impresses with its rich structure, deep aromas, and exceptional balance.
With this double recognition, Wente Vineyards once again proves why they are an icon in the world of wine.
